Flight (2013)

An Airline Pilot 'Whip Whittaker (Denzil Washington) saves a plane from crashing in what was a near impossible to avert disaster, the investigation though brings up a dark and troubled side of 'Whips' addiction to drink and drugs.

We're only in the first week of the year and already we have one of the contenders for the films of 2013.An utterly compelling story, the initial crash is brilliantly shot (see youtube clip for a small insight below) and Denzil Washington gives a powerhouse performance throughout.

A stunning piece of film-making and a brilliant character study from a directorial great Robert Zemeckis ("Back To The Future","Cast Away", "Polar Express")
